Welcome on my homepage. My name is Bert van der Meulen, I’m a jazz guitar player. Jazz is my passion and I would like to share it with you. In case of a reception, dinner or official opening, I’ld be willing to play there!

I play: jazz standards, jazz originals and bossa nova’s. The music is tasteful and doesn’t impede a good conversation. If necessary, I can play in a very low volume. The music is to be considered an excellent alternative for salon and piano music.

Depending on the event the combination of instruments may vary.
Do you wish for music at official occasions; I would recommend a duo; guitar and bass, or a trio; guitar, bass and drums.
In case of a party a saxophone may join in.
Is a low volume wished for, for instance in occasion of a dinner, solo jazz guitar is a possibility.

My performances are characterized by professionalism, quality and passion. All musicians are educated at the conservatory successfully.

I prefer playing in small halls. Events of approximately 150 visitors can be taken care of. The unique acoustic character of the music, and the limited amount of amplification, provide the ability to perform in almost any Venue. Hence an additional amplifier (PA) is not required.

The performances will take place in the central part of the Netherlands (the area between Zwolle and ’s Hertogenbosch).
